BREAKING: Police Declares Bauchi Fiery Cleric Sheikh Idris Wanted
Bauchi State Police Command on Thursday declared a fiery Bauchi based cleric Sheikh Idris Abdulaziz wanted.
The police made the declaration on the authority of the Inspector General (IG) of police over alleged contempt of court.
Recall that the cleric has been critical of the Bauchi state governor Bala Mohammed since his inception after 2019.
The government, DAYLIGHT REPORTERS reports sued the islamic preacher for alleged public disturbance and he was detained for over 40 days sometime last year.
He was later released on bail and re-summonned to the court but the cleric fled the state to an unknown destination claiming he was under threat.
However, the police on Thursday declared the fleeing preacher wanted and pledged a bounty (reward) for anyone who provides information that can lead to his arrest.
