Hundreds of traders from Gombe Groundnut Oil Milling Cluster storm the streets in Gombe to stage a peaceful protest over incessant power outage and over billing by Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED).
The traders, who took their protest to the Gombe Emir’s place, angrily complained of being overcharged in the electricity billing and also non-reflection of payments made in their monthly bills.
Some of the traders who speak to our reporter, condemned the hardship the cluster was going through due to the inefficiency and unprofessional conduct of the JED officials.
All efforts to speak with JED by our reporter proved abortive as they neither pick calls nor reply a text message sent seeking clarification.
