Muhammadu Barau Mu’azu was appointed as the new emir of Kontagora.
According to the source who confirmed the appointment to Daylight Reporters said the new Emir was selected by five kingmakers of the Emirate.
The 7th Sarkin Sudan emerged after beating over 46 contest of the throne as not fewer than 47 of them picked up the nomination forms.
The Kingmakers are; Alh. Aminu Ahmed Bawa (Madawaki), Alh. Shehu Yusuf (Galadima), Alh. Yusuf Tanko Usman ( Waziri), Alh Adamu Moh’d kanta (Mgayaki) and Alh. Abdulkadir Bashar (Kofa).
The selection exercise which was held today in Kontagora, was supervised by the State Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs.
Recall that the Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Sa’du Namaska died on the 9th of September, 2021 in Abuja after a brief illness.
