A former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Gombe State, who decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) recently, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna has lost his closest political lieutenants to the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) in the state.
The trio of Ibrahim Adamu (Uban Dawakin Gombe), Hon. Sani Garba Anaruwa and Auwal Chiburos decamped to the NNPP after meeting with the Party’s guber candidate, Hon. Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki in Abuja.
Hon. Ibrahim was one time Deputy local government Chairman and Special Assistant to Governor Dankwambo; Hon. Sani Garba Anaruwa was Gwamna’s Protocol, former Special Assistant to Governor Dankwambo and Gombe South 2019 state assembly aspirant while Auwal Chiburos was also a Special Assistant to Governor Dankwambo and presently the Northeast Chairman of the Coalition of Self Empoyers of Nigeria.
It could be recalled that, Gwamna who was the immediate past Managing Director (MD), Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) contested the PDP’s 2023 gubernatorial ticket in Gombe State and became the second runner up to the party’s flagbearer, Muhammed Jibrin Barde.
He however returned to the APC and was immediately appointed as the Inuwa/Tinubu 2023 governorship campaign council in the state.
