Governor Nasir Ahmed El-Rufa’i has allegedly revoked the Certificate Of Occupancy (C-Of-O) of the house to his former ally and the incumbent member representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives,Hon.Samaila Abdu Suleiman.
Suleiman in a telephone interview with Daylight Reporters on Friday disclose that, he has received the letter revoking his C-Of-O saying that, his residence where he lives with his family in Kaduna is facing demolishing any moment.
The lawmaker who is a former ally of Governor El-Rufa’i fell out with him when he was denied a return ticket on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as El-Rufai insisted on replacing him with his son, Bello El-Rufai in the 2023 general elections.
He later defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and secured a return ticket to slug it out with El-Rufai’s son, Bello who was given the ticket to contest on the platform of the APC.
The lawmaker had earlier in a post on his Facebook page, strongly criticised El-Rufa’i’s plan to get at him using his power as the state executive reminding the governor that “power is is transient”.
He however, said, the planned demolishing won’t demoralise him but will rather strengthen him even as he waits for the demolition to be carried out
He wrote: “I am in receipt of a letter from my governor, H.E. Nasir El-Rufai revoking the Right of Occupancy of my residence in Kawo New Extension, Kaduna. We are expecting demolition any moment”.
