The head coach of the Gombe United, Baba Ganaru has resigned from the team.
Daylight Reporters has gathered that Ganaru who’s a two-time winner of the NPFL with Kano Pillars has tendered his resignation letter to Gombe United football club earlier today.
An anonymous source who confirmed the resignation said, the embattled coach resigned due to lack of funds and logistics to run the club. The bus conveying the team had developed technical fault on their way to play with Enyimba in Aba leaving the team and their officials trapped in a bush and the match was later rescheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, February 29, 2024. He further confirmed.
Recall that Daylight Reporters has reported that Mr. Ganaru has revealed during the post-match conference held at Pantami stadium that the team is languishing in poverty.
