The Emir of Funakaye in Gombe state, Alhaji Muazu Muhammad Kwairanga IIl, is dead.
Daylight Reporters checks revealed that the emir passed on in the early hours of Sunday, August 27, 2022, after a brief illness.
He died barely 15 months after his appointment as Emir of Funakaye
Our correspondent also gathered that the late emir was in Gombe, the state capital throughout yesterday, and had attended a program with the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami in Gombe.
A serving aide to the governor of Gombe State, Abdul No Shaking confirmed his demise via his Facebook page on Sunday.
According to him, funeral prayers will take place on Sunday by 2:00 pm at the emir’s palace in Bajoga, headquaters of Funakaye LGA.
Late Muazu Kwairanga was installed as the Emir of Funakaye in June, 2021, succeeding his elder brother, late Abubakar Kwairanga, who died on May 20th, same year.
