Former member of the House of Representatives from Gombe State, Umar Ahmed Nafada, has resigned his membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The resignation was contained in a letter dated March 30th, 2022 and addressed to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Nafada West Ward, Nafada local government area of Gombe State.
The letter to the ward Chairman, a copy of which was made available to Daylight Reporters reads, “I write with esteem regard to formally notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“After wide consultations, I am by this notice informing you of my decision to join the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with my supporters and associates. This is done without malice or ill intentions.”
Umar Nafada represented Dukku/Nafada federal Constituency between 2011 – 2015 and served as commissioner for Information in the previous Dankwambo-led government of Gombe State, before joining APC in August 2021.
