A stalwart of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe, Air Vice Marshal Shehu S. Adamu, has resigned his membership of the party.
In his letter of resignation obtained by Daylight Reporters addressed to Pantami Ward APC Chairman, Shehu Adamu said his resignation hinges on his desire to move Gombe state forward.
“I write with esteemed regard to formally notify you of my resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
“My decision to resign from the APC hinges on my desire to move Gombe State forward,” AVM Adamu said in the letter.
He further said that he would announce his next political move “in the fullness of time,” while wishing the party well.
Retired Air Vice Marshal Adamu was the Chairman Security Committee of the 2019 APC Campaign Council and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya transition Committee.
Recall that the ruling APC in Gombe state has been losing its members in droves to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, the most recent including Hamza Adamu Soye, the former Chairman of the Gombe State Sports Commission.
