Former President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has shown optimism over the outcome of the consultations going on in the Gambia to bring the country back to the path of peace through democracy.
This was made public via his verified twitter handle, as he paid a courtesy visit to the Gambian President, Adama Barrow at the State House in Banjul.
This courtesy call is part of the efforts to aid the drafting of the country’s constitution. He has been meeting with stakeholders concerned, including the political parties and the President, among others.
He expressed optimism that the talks will yield positive results.
