In recognition of the significance of the Easter season to the Christian community in Benue State, the Governor of the state, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has declared Thursday, Friday, and Monday as work-free days for all civil servants.
In a statement signed by Barrister Mrs Serumun Deborah Aber, Secretary to the State Government said the decision is to enable our hardworking civil servants to participate fully in the sacred celebrations and observances of the Easter Triduum, which holds deep spiritual significance for Christians around the world.
She said government encourage citizens to use the opportunity to reflect, recharge, and spend quality time with their loved ones.
The Governor extends his warmest wishes to all Christians in Benue State and beyond, praying that the Easter celebrations bring joy, peace, and spiritual renewal to all.
