Bauchi Varsity Begins 3-day Capacity Building Seminar For Staff

Vice Chancellor of the Bauchi State-owned Sa’adu Zungur University, (SAZU), Gadau, Professor Fatima Tahir says 75 staff of its are undergoing a seminar towards ensuring their academic growth and development.
This was contained in a press release issued to journalists by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mallam Auwal Hassan.
The VC says the seminar underscores the university’s dedication to providing a conducive learning environment, and promoting academic excellence.
While emphasizing the importance of the seminar, especially for the new staff members, Professor Tahir commended the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance for initiating the seminar and urged the beneficiaries to make the best use of the knowledge acquired.
The press release which described the seminar as part of efforts by the University to promote academic excellence and enhance the professional development of its academic staff, explained that it brought together 75 academic staff members from its various departments.
Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance of the Institution, Dr. Muhammed Mukhtar Aliyu, stressed that the seminar was designed to equip academic staff with necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
“The seminar covers a range of topics, including effective research grant writing, leveraging digital tools for teaching, reflective practice, intro to research, and open Science for life science,” he stated.
According to the statement, the University has plans to hold a similar seminar at its Yuli Campus, on February 17, 2025, with additional 75 attendees.
