The Catholic Bishop of Bauchi Diocese, Reverend Hilary Nanman Danchalem has commended governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state for his administration’s fairness to members of different religious groups in the implementation of government’s programs in the state.
He made the commendation Wednesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the governor at government house Bauchi in preparation of the celebration of his 25 years of ordanation as priest.
Danchalem who said that justice brings about mutual understanding and fairness among diversed citizens promised to partner the governor in building peace in the state.
The Bauchi Catholic Bishop said the Diocese is ready to collaborate with the state government for the advancement of health, education and social services to the citizens.
“Your Excellency, on behalf of the members of Diocese Bauchi and Gombe I bring you their best wishes and we are delighted with your prompt reply to our request.”
“We are here to congratulate you on your victory in the last election and we commend you for your efforts towards addressing the major challenges facing our state”. He stated.
Responding, governor Bala expressed appreciation to the cleric for the visit pledging that his administration will continue to treat all residents of the state justly and equally.
He appealed to religious leaders to help the state with prayers for peace and development.
