._Biafran Wing denies involvement_

Seven members of the Cameroon’s Rapid d’Intervention (BIR) have been reportedly killed by explosion in Abana, the former headquarters of Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River.
The explosion, which unconfirmed reports said is from a suspected suicide bomb mission, occurred barely three weeks after the Cameroon’s Rapid d’intervention Battalions (BIR) had sacked the pro Biafra militant wing, “the Black Marines.”
The alleged suicide bomber militant was said to have walked to the checkpoint in Abana when the bomb exploded on Friday night.
Eyewitness said two gunboats were heavily damaged and two soldiers lost their parts.
Recall that three weeks ago, the Cameroon’s Rapid d’intervention Battalions (BIR) had in a tensed gun battle that lasted for days, sacked the pro Biafra militant wing, the Black Marines in Abana, said to be working for the Biafra Nations League, (BnL) in the Gulf of Guinea.
However, a Leader of the Biafra Republic Government in exile, Simon Ekpa, had reportedly posted on his Twitter handle that Black Marine was not dislodged, refuting media reports.
Commenting on this latest attack, Leader of the BnL, Princewill Chimezie Richards on Sunday told journalists in Calabar, Cross River State capital that, “we don’t know those that carried out the act, we don’t know Black Marines as suicide bombers, unless they have changed strategy.
“It might be another set of freedom fighters, so far that they targeted the enemies, I am okay with that. For now we wait if they will claim responsibility, “ Richards stated.
Daylight Reporters had reported that the Black Marines had reportedly planning to takeover the areas BIR took over from them.
