The Kebbi State Governor,Senator Abubakar Atiku, on Saturday, visited Zuru, to condole the family and people of the area over the death of Zuru local Government APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Rago, who passed away recently in his home town, Zuru.
Bagudu, accompanied by Senator Bala Ibn Na Allah, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District,was received at the residence of the deceased by the Vice Chairman APC Kebbi South , Alhaji Abubakar Kana, local government party chieftains and his relatives.
The Governor described the death of late Abubakar Rago as a big loss, not only to the family, but the state in general.
The late APC Chairman, according to the governor, was a fine gentleman who lived a virtuous life, worthy of emulation .
” He was a very good gentleman , he was not only a good friend, but an old political ally .”
The Governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for the Almighty Allah to grant his family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss .
Earlier, the Vice Chairman APC Kebbi South , Abubakar Kana, thanked the governor for the visit and the similar one at Kaduna , over the death of retired General Dan Hanne.
Late Abdullahi Rago died following a protracted illness at the age of 67, leaving behind three wives and one child .
