A socio-political group in Bauchi State known as ‘Multipurpose Association for Development’ has launched a comprehensive development agenda aimed at promoting unity, economic growth, and development in Bauchi State.
At a press conference held at Bauchi Destination Hotel, chairman of the group, Ahmed Ghani Hassan, emphasised the association’s commitment to supporting the government in uniting people for unity, economic growth, and development.
“Today, we gather to present our humble association and its activities that will help bring genuine development to our dear state.
We are a youth-led initiative, predominantly comprising patriotic indigenes of Bauchi State, established and registered with the Bauchi State Ministry of Youth and Sport on May 23, 2018.
“The association seeks to promote unity by removing sectionalism caused by religious affiliation, political party, and tribal discrimination.
“It also aims to empower citizens through orientation campaigns and sensitisation training, create awareness on educational, social, political, and economic development, collaborate with lawmakers to initiate and support public policies beneficial to the state, and consult with the government and executive governor, regardless of party affiliation.”, he explained.
He noted that notable persons appointed as patrons of the association include Ambassador Adamu Aliyu (Walin Katagum), Alhaji Garba Mohammed Noma (Jarman Bauchi), Alhaji Aliyu Umar Misau (Baraden Misau), Alhaji Hamza Sakuwa (Sarkin Shanun Katagum), and Dr Balarabe Shehu Ilelah.
“We invite all stakeholders to join us in this noble endeavor. Together, we can achieve lasting and undivided development for Bauchi State.”, he said.
