ASHH Foundation Distributes 500 Menstrual Hygiene Kits to IDPs in Maiduguri

A Bauchi-based Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Attah Sisters Helping Hand Foundation (ASHH Foundation) has supported 500 women in IDP camps with menstrual hygiene kits in the aftermath of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The distribution of the items was carried out by the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) after receiving the items from the Foundation’s team.
While receiving the ASHH Foundation Team from Bauchi in Maiduguri, the Secretary of Borno SEMA, Mohammed Sheriff, appreciated the organization for the support to women and girls affected by the flood.
After inspecting the menstrual kits, he assured the foundation that it will be distributed to three different camps in Maiduguri metropolis.
ASHH Foundation team, alongside officials of Borno SEMA, carried out the distribution to IDP’s in Gubuyo, Teachers Village, and Bakassi Camps.
Gubuyo Camp, being the largest, received 200 kits, while Teachers Village and Bakassi both got 150 menstrual kits each.
After the distribution exercise, Maryam Shehu in Gubuyo camp said she is grateful to the Foundation for the support and prayed that God bless the organization for the show of love.
Halima Maringina from Teachers Village Camp said they are grateful to the Foundation for the kits and for show of love and concern, she prayed for open doors and more support.
Also, Sadiya Garba Shehu thanked the Foundation for the kits which was one of their most needs.
