As the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC) sets to conduct local governments elections in the state in the next eight days, a chieftain of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) Honourable Danlami Garba Abubakar has vowed that his party will prove its popularity to the world at the polls.
Danlami who was a former chairman of Toro local government told our correspondent on Thursday that his party had produced popular and formidable candidates to confront those of the ruling PDP in the October 17th election.
” Now that Bauchi state is at the verge of local governments’ polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) being the major opposition party in the state has vowed to salvage the downtrodden electorates of the state from the captivity of PDP-led Bauchi state government.
“PDP has since lost popularity and integrity in the eyes of the impoverished Bauchi populace due to poor leadership style and incessant unpopular policies.
“It is now evidently crystal clear even to a blind, APC’s imminent return to power in Bauchi state”. He alleged.
The former local government chairman commended the efforts of the minister of education Malam Adamu Adamu for his efforts to unite the party members and address some of its problems with a view to strengthening and preparing it for next elections.
“He is now a unifying figure of the party being the leader in the state. The education minister has made several efforts to maintain decorum and unity in the party at both state and national levels”. He said.
