Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamawa State Chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal has called on the party executives and stakeholders in Adamawa State and Nigeria at large to rally support for the aspiration of Senator Muhammad Danjuma Goje as national chairman of the party.
The chairman stated this when he recieved members of Northeast Development Organisations Initiative at the State party secretariat in Yola.
According to him, the party has a lot to gain if Sen. Goje is given the chance to steer her affairs at the national level, looking at the antecedents and good leadership skills of the former Gombe State Governor.
He noted further that APC needs a National Chairman like Sen. Goje who can really bring people together for a victorious march towards 2023, noting that “it is of extreme significance when we have such personality who is very loyal to the APC in addition to having deep capacity to drive the manifesto of the party and work for it victory at all levels”.
Speaking earlier, coordinator of the Organisation, Ahmed Afauwala said the organization is going round the relevant stakeholders at accross the Northeast region to interface with them and other organizations to solicit for support to Sen. Goje as the chairman of the ruling APC.
According to him, “Having understudied his commitment to progressive and party politics, and to realize President Buhari’s plea that the APC should not be allowed to die after his tenure, we resolved to support Sen. Goje to emerge as the National Chairman, because he is about the only one who has what it takes to check the PDP, which is desperate to oust APC from power in 2023.” He added
