Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has disclosed that, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is the only party trusted by people of the state and the country.
He disclosed this at the state zonal rally flag off in Gumel where the party’s candidates were presented with the APC flags on Wednesday.
Speaking during the occasion, Governor Abubakar who is also chairman of the state APC campaign council for the 2023 general election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu said, the party has performed both at the state and the country.
According to him, between 2015 and to date, APC has executed numerous projects and programs that positively touched the lives of Jigawa people and also improved their social and economic well-being.
He added, “We fulfilled all our campaign promises as there is no community in the state that did not enjoy one or more of our capital projects by APC-led state government.
“We have a legacy in the state and I assured the people of the state that if re-elected, the party candidates at all levels I am assured you that our candidates will continue from where I stop at all aspects”.
The governor therefore charged the APC candidates to abide by the INEC and Security guidelines and other rules of law as they go back to their various constituencies for grassroots and door-to-door campaigns.
Addressing the crowd, the state APC chairman, Hon. Aminu Sani Gumel called on the people of the state to vote for APC at all levels for the continuation of good policies and programs that can take Nigeria and Jigawa state to the next level of progress and sustainable development.
In his speech, the State Deputy Governor who is also the APC gubernatorial candidate, Malam Umar Namadi reassured that, if elected as the next state governor in 2023, he will maintain the APC legacy of an open, transparent, and all-inclusive government.
