The campaign team for Comrade Garba Muhammad, the National Presidential Aspirant for the position of National President of Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), Garba Muhammad for President, (GMP), has congratulated the Governor Kebbi State, Dr Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu, on his conferment of Fellow by the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
GMP ascertained the award as a true recognition of the Governor’s commitment and dedication to public service, transparency and accountability as well as display of credible leadership, which the GMP stands for.
In his congratulatory message, Comrade Muhammad advised that Governor Idris shouldn’t renegade in his quest and commitment for good governance and service to the people, enjoining him to continue to serve as a role model to the people and state.
“Having served as media consultant to many national and international media organizations at various levels, consultant to prominent statesmen like Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah as well as Chairman of NUJ, Kaduna State Council, Vice Chairman and Chairman of NUJ Correspondents Chapel, as National Officer of the NUJ and as chairman of many vertical national committees, it behoves on me to know a credible leader and a fellow senior comrade of integrity and quality like Governor Idris, Kauran Gwandu”, Muhammad said.
He advised the Governor to remain focused and continue to thrive in handling the affairs of the state, adding that his efforts in the management of the state’s resources will increase and attract investors to the state that was once known for its international fishing festival.
The presidential hopeful also observed that the success recorded during the Governor’s foreign trips is an indication of his commitment to putting the state in the global market by attracting internation investment opportunities to the numerous untapped opportunities across the State
