Alkali Becomes First BUK’s Professor of Architecture

Professor Ibrahim Alkali has become the first Professor of Architecture of Bayero University, Kano (BUK).
Professor Alkali, who hails from Dukku Local Government Area of Gombe State, obtained a Diploma in Architecture from Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, B. Tech and M. Tech Architecture from Abubakar Tafawa Belewa University (ATBU) Bauchi and PhD Architecture from University Teknologi Malaysia.
He lectured in ATBU Bauchi and Bayero University Kano rising through the ranks to the exalted position of Professor becoming the first Professor of Architecture in the university.
He is a distinguished scholar who obtained Grade A in his PhD and was awarded Best Postgraduate Student of University Teknologi Malaysia in 2015.
He has supervised and examined several Master and Doctoral dissertations and has published several peer reviewed journals, books and book chapters.
