Akwa Ibom Government appoints Mr. Aniekan Ukpong as new State Director of Information

The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Information has appointed Mr. Aniekan Ukpong as the State Director of Information in the State.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect was announced by the Ministry recently.
Mr Ukpong, until his new appointment was a Director in charge of Strategy and replaces, the former State Director of Information, Mrs Blessing Uruan who retired recently after her meritorious civil service career.
The State Director of Information is a senior official in the Ministry of Information responsible for managing information dissemination and communication strategies of the state.
He ensures the public is informed about government activities and initiatives, while maintaining a positive image of the State Government through; information Dissemination, Media Relations,
Communication Strategy and Public Education.
Others include; Crisis Communication, Image Management, Advisory Role, Press Release/News Letters Management, Social Media Management, Budgeting and Planning etc.
