ADF Youths Celebrate Akpabio, Ekpo At Christmas, Commend Minister For Gas Sector Achievements

The Youth Wing of Akwa Ibom Democratic Forum (ADF), has felicitated the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Minister of Petroleum (Gas), Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo at Christmas and prayed God’s protection in good health and more blessings to their families in the new year.
The Group also commended the Minister for the numerous achievements recorded so far within the past one year in office and expressed optimism that, he would initiate more life-enhancing projects in 2025 for the benefit of Nigerians.
The National Coordinator, Comrade Uko Ubong Fidelis made this known during a Media Round table at Abak at the weekend.
He said after their assessment of the Minister’s performance in the past one year in office, Hon. Ekpo has made remarkable strides in the gas sector including attracting investment for infrastructure, reducing flaring and stabilizing domestic LPG prices.
He explained that, for the infrastructure growth the Minister led bilateral talks on the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline project spanning 13 West African countries with a spur to Spain for European gas export.
According to him, “we remain thankful to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and our Grand leader for his undiluted support to President Tinubu’s effort in reforming the sociopolitical/economic landscape of the country.
“Also, the Minister, Ekperikpe Ekpo had commissioned the Ultra – Modern 23, 000 Metric Tonnes LPG Vessel, Temmile 10 to achieve further development of in – country capacity to transport LPG from producers to the domestic markets.
“He also commissioned the 5.2 million metric standard cubic feet p/d (MMSCFD) CNG and Auto Gas facility at Illasamaja, Lagos State.
“As well as commissioned the ALH Gas processing plant, ANOH Gas Processing plant and the 23.3 KMX36 inch ANOH – OB3 Gas Pipeline projects in Delta and IMO States respectively, among other development projects he is currently doing in the gas sector,” he said.
Comrade Fidelis also used the occasion to felicitate the Senate President Akpabio as the Grand Patron of ADF for his leadership at the National Assembly.
He stated that, Nigerians should continue to support him to make better legislations for the socio-economic growth and of the country.
The Youth Coordinator thanked the National leadership of ADF for a successful inauguration across the state, and advised the new chapter officers of the organization to be loyal to constituted authorities.
He urged them to work for the All Progressives Congress, (APC), to actualize its mandate of enthroning government in the state in 2027.
This is a step in the right direction, The Hon. Minister has done Noble congratulations Sir, keep doing the right thing .
