Adewumi, Okogbe Provide Free JAMB Forms For 400 Akoko-Edo Students
By Osehobo Ofure, Benin-City
400 indigent students in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State are to get free JAMB registration forms.
Mr. Humphrey Teddy Adewumi and Hon. Donald Okogbe, two prominent indigenes of the local government are collectively sponsoring the 400 students, to ensure that financial barriers do not hinder their academic progress.
Mr. Adewumi is providing 200 JAMB forms following an earlier initiative to sponsor the enrollment of 120 candidates in this year’s West African School Certificate Examination.
Adewumi believes that education is the key to unlocking opportunities and is determined to help students overcome financial challenges.
Similarly, Hon. Okogbe, representing Akoko-Edo II Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, has announced the sponsorship of 200 JAMB forms for eligible students in his constituency. He says the aim is to ease the financial burden on families in the locality and encourage academic excellence.
To qualify for Hon. Okogbe’s program, applicants must be from Akoko-Edo II and have at least five O’Level credits. Selection will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Interested candidates are to apply before the February 28 deadline by contacting designated representatives.
