Adamawa State Permanent Secretaries under the leadership of the Head of Service (HoS), Dr Edgar Amos have pledged their loyalty and support to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his administration in the state.
They disclosed this when they paid a solidarity visit to the governor at the Government House in Yola.
Speaking during the visit, the Head of Service, says that they paid the visit to felicitate with the Governor over some of the Awards given to him which included presidential Award by Mr President on best Governor for Infrastructure Delivery.
The HoS reassured Governor Fintiri that they are comfortable with his style of leadership and they are ready to give in their unreserved support in his quest for second term bid.
In his remark, Governor Fintiri, thanked the administrators for their show of love and solidarity.
He said, even though he may not be the most favorable candidate among some of them, he says the permanent secretaries are at liberty to support candidate of their choice.
He however said, that will not stop him from soliciting for a Support from them and their people, that they should know that their appointment as permanent secretaries was base on their merits and abilities not by connection, because he doesn’t know many of them and many of them wouldn’t have been there if it is by connections.
The Governor jokingly gave the Perm Secs and their Commissioners 40% credit on the achievements recorded so far and took the remaining percentages for himself.
He reminded them that God gives power to whom He wants, at the time He wants.
He said, he is now the Governor and in Sha Allahu he will be re-elected for the second term by the good people of Adamawa.
The Goverrnor thanked them immediately and urged them to keep on giving their best and to work assiduously with their commissioners.
He urged them to continue teaching the commissioners the rudiments adding that, he personally learned alot from their memos.
