ACF Condoles Family, Adamawa Over Death of Senator Zwingina

Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) ACF extends condolences to the family and friends, people of Adamawa South over the death of Senator Jonathan Zwingina.
A statement by ACF National Publicity Secretary, Prof. TA Muhammad-Baba said Forum also mourns with the Government of Adamawa State, the North and indeed the whole country over the loss.
“ACF mourns his illustrious son of the North, deeply mourns his loss and prays for the peaceful repose of his soul”, the statement noted.
According to the statement, late Senator Zwingina was known, among other things for his oratory.
Late Senator Zwingina first made his marks as a student activist and union leader during his undergraduate days at the University of Ibadan in the mid-1970s, then as Gongola State Director of MAMSER and much later as a key figure in the Presidential Campaign Team of late Chief Moshood Abiola.
He then came to more national prominence as a Senator representing Adamawa South Senatorial District on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the first and second (1999 – 2007) Senate of the Fourth Republic, where he emerged as Majority Leader and also later Spokesman for the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.
