Benue SUBEB Executive Chairman Awards Scholarship To Student Artist

The Executive Chairman, Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Grace D. Adagba, was has been presented with a portrait of herself, skillfully drawn by a Student, Asan Aondohembafan, from NKST Junior Secondary School (JSS) Ikyanyon, Usar in Kwande LGEA, Benue State.
While receiving the artwork, Dr Adagba commended Asan’s creativity and announced that she would sponsor his education up to the university level after his Junior Secondary School studies.
She also commented the teacher saying: “I praise the school’s Arts teacher, Mr Terhemba Zaki, for nurturing the young artist’s talent.”
The Principal of the school, Mr. Time Benjamin, appreciated the SUBEB boss for her commitment to the positive and timely transformation of basic education in the state. He prayed for continued blessings upon the SUBEB Executive Chairman.
Earlier, Adagba, acknowledged the role of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, in ensuring that the development of basic education is on the front burner of his administration.
“The governor’s initiatives in improving infrastructure, building of modern one storey building for basic schools across the state is commendable.
“The enhanced welfare of the teachers have created an enabling environment for students to explore and showcase their talents, as seen in Asan’s artistic skills.
According to the board’s Information Officer, Akese Emmanuella, the student artist presented three portraits of the SUBEB Executive Chairman drawn by him , demonstrating his unique talent and dedication to his craft.
