Speaking in Benin City during a working visit to federal health facilities, he acknowledged the nation’s economic challenges but praised Tinubu for addressing them.

“The ‘Japa’ syndrome in the health sector is largely an economic issue, and we are working to resolve it. However, economic problems go beyond just the health sector. I believe the trend will eventually reverse,” he said.

Salako noted that, despite economic difficulties, health workers remain among the highest-paid professionals in Nigeria, showing the government’s commitment to their welfare.

“We will continue to push for more funding for healthcare. President Tinubu has shown clear dedication to the sector,” he added.

He also commended the President for promptly responding to health-related demands.

“He understands the value of healthcare and is giving it the necessary attention. We must continue to reciprocate with commitment, hard work, and dedication to the people,” Salako said.
