Jigawa Govt Pays Over N50.7b Outstanding For Inherited Road Projects

Jigawa State Government has settled the payments of over N50.7 billion inherited roads projects, while the two remaining roads out of the 26 inherited would be completed in couple of weeks.
Governor Umar Namadi made the disclosure while commissioning the newly constructed a 9.5-kilometer road which was built at a cost of N3.8b by Alren Construction Company.
According to him, his administration inherited 47 road projects covering 977 kilometers at a cost of over N304 billion, stressing work on these projects are progressing well, with some sites already more than halfway completed.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing all the inherited road projects across the state.
The commissioning was performed by the Minister of Defence and the immediate former Governor of the state, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, who served as the Special Guest of Honour.
