Nasarawa Amazons Fall 0-3 To Abia Angels In Umuahia

Nasarawa Amazons suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Abia Angels in their matchday two away fixture in Umuahia, Abia State.
The game saw both teams display vigour and energy throughout the encounter.
Abia Angels took the lead in the 18th minute through Merit Offor’s strike amidst a goal mouth scramble.
Dorothy Eshiet similarly doubled the hosts’ advantage in the 38th minute, with both goals coming in the first half.
Despite a spirited effort from the Amazons, Abia Angels continued to press and eventually sealed the win with Chiamaka Ojiafor’s 85th-minute strike.
The Nasarawa Amazons created scoring opportunities, particularly in the second half, with Janet, Igbokwe, Shola, and Shobowale all threatening the Abia Angels goal. However, they were unable to find the back of the net.
According to a statement from Nasarawa Amazons FC Media unit, the team will aim to bounce back from this defeat in their upcoming fixture away Confluence Queens in Ayingba, Kogi State.
