In line with the spirit of Christmas, the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS), has distribution food items worth several millions of naira to underprivileged families across all Bethels in Cross River State.
Speaking on the food items’ distribution at the World Headquarters of the organisation, the spokesperson of BCS, Patriarch Christ Shepherd, Dr. Amah Williams, noted that the initiative was one of the ways in which Leader Olumba Obu desires to show love to the people and to mark the world vegetarian day.
The food items distributed include rice, beans, cartons of noodles and chickens among others estimated at millions of naira.
The BCS spokesperson explained that the free food distribution was part of the activities planned by the organization for the 2024 celebration of the Divine Manifestation of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, which kick-started at the World Headquarters from December 23 and will end on December 31, this year.
“BCS members will also visit orphanages and homes for the destitute, conducting activities to assist the less fortunate in various locations worldwide. This effort honours Leader Olumba Olumba Obu, which reflects his teachings and practices,” he said.
To avoid trouble like stampede and other unseen circumstances associated with food distribution, the organization has collaborated with security agents and crowd control units of Olumba Obu’s organization to ensure smooth exercise.
Activities lined up for the ceremony during this yuletide season include, fast, visitation to inmates at the Nigerian Correctional Centres across the 36 states of the federation and other nations, to show love, reflect on the suffering and death of Jesus Christ for humanity on December 26, 2024 across all the Bethels.
The BCS spokesperson maintained that the event would feature feet-washing for all the Christ ambassadors by the Holy Father at Biakpan, language singing competition, Art and Merit awards, global prayers, and the Father’s New Year message.
Amah hinted that the solutions to the many challenges faced by mankind can be found in teachings of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu as expressed in His Everlasting Gospels.
