Kano Governor Yusuf Names Six Commissioner-nominees Few Days After Dropping Five

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has named six commissioner-nominees whose names have been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening and subsequent approval.
The Speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore made the disclosure in a letter from the governor read at plenary on Monday.
The nominees are Shehu Sagagi, Dr Dahiru Hashim, Ibrahim Wayya, Dr Isma’il Dan Maraya, Gaddafi Shehu and Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.
Governor Yusuf last week sacked five commissioners, Chief of Staff and relieved the Chief of Staff on health grounds.
The commissioners that were dropped are, Ibrahim Jibril Fagge, Finance Ministry; Ladidi Ibrahim Garko, Culture and Tourism; Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information and Internal Affairs, Shehu Aliyu Yammedi, Special Duties and Abbas Sani Abbas, Rural and Community Development.
He also reassigned some of the cabinet members. They are the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulssalam, from Ministry of Local Government to Higher Education; Hon. Mohammad Tajo Usman from Science and Technology to Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar Mata from Higher Education to Science, Technology and Innovation.
Others moved include Hon. Amina Abdullahi from Humanitarian and Poverty Alleviation to Ministry for Women, Children and Disable; Hon. Nasiru Sule Garo, from Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to Ministry of Special Duties, Commissioner for Project Monitory and Evaluation, Hon. Ibrahim Namadi to Ministry of Transport, while Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa of Ministry of Education moves to Ministry of Water Resources.
Furthermore, Hon. Ali Haruna Makoda was moved from Water Resources to Ministry of Education, Hon. Aisha Lawal Saji from Ministry of Women, Children and Disable to Tourism and Culture, and Hon. Muhammad Diggol from Transport to Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluatio
