Reps Celebrate Chidinma on 73rd Miss Universe Runner-up Feat

The House of Representatives congratulates Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, Nigeria’s representative at the 73rd Miss Universe competition held in Mexico, for her outstanding achievement as the first runner-up.
In a statement on Sunday, the House Spokesperson, Akin Rotimi Jr said, the 23-year-old’s remarkable journey to this global stage and her excellent performance exemplify the resilience, brilliance, and elegance that define the Nigerian spirit.
He said, “From her triumph as Miss Universe Nigeria (representing Taraba State), to being crowned Miss Universe Africa/Oceania on the international stage, she has proven herself to be not just a beauty queen but a true ambassador of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage and the limitless potential of African women.
“The House commends Ms. Adetshina for her poise under pressure, eloquence in representing the aspirations of young girls, and passionate advocacy for hope and empowerment. Her courage and grace in overcoming challenges have made Nigeria proud, establishing her as a true symbol of hope and possibility.
“As we honour her remarkable achievement, the 10th House of Representatives reaffirms its commitment to advancing policies that empower the girl-child and champion the progress of women in all areas of life. We eagerly anticipate the positive contributions Miss Adetshina will continue to make as a role model on the global stage”.
Hon. Rotimi Jr also quoted the Deputy Speaker Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu in a congratulatory message, praising her tenacity and grace.
Kalu said, “Her inspiring story, marked by perseverance and grace,will undoubtedly serve as a beacon of hope and motivation for generations to come.
