Senator Sumaila Awards N2.4Bn Projects to Gaya, Garko Science Secondary Schools, Donates Furniture, Hospital Beds, Others

As part of his efforts to improve education and healthcare delivery in Kano South Senatorial District and Kano State as a whole, the Senator Suleiman Abdurrahman Kawu Sumaila (NNPP, Kano South) has donated items and projects worth billions of naira to schools and hospitals in his senatorial district.
According to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Abbas Adam Abbas, he donated the items at the event attended by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and hundreds of others in Kano, weekend.
The items donated include; 3,000 student desks;170 teachers’ tables;170 magnetic whiteboards with markers;16 head of school tables and 1,000 hospital beds.
Senator Sumaila said the items donated to the schools and hospitals are meant to benefit students and patients by providing more conducive learning environments and improved healthcare services across the Senatorial district.
He also unveiled major projects worth over N1.4 billion each at Maitama Sule Science Secondary School, Gaya, and Garko Girls Science College.
The projects to be executed include; construction of multipurpose halls, ICT centers, renovation of classrooms, libraries, and laboratories, as well as the installation of solar power systems.
In his remark, Governor Yusuf, commended Senator Sumaila’s efforts to improve the lives of his Senatorial district and Kano State in general.
“This initiative aligns with our commitment to prioritizing education and healthcare. We urge all members of the House of Representatives, State Assembly, and local government chairmen to focus on these sectors for a complete overhaul of critical infrastructure,” he said.
He warned that, they will not tolerate anybody or group planning perpetrated crisis that will disrupt the region’s progress.
Governor Yusuf added, “We are not in support of conflict. Anyone trying to scatter the good work we are doing should be warned. We are committed to peace and development”.
