The Cultural Middle-Belt Political Forum has endorsed all the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in tomorrow’s local government elections in Plateau State.
Addressing journalists in Jos Tuesday, Prince Ibrahim David, Plateau State chairman of the Forum, announced that after thorough consideration, assessments, and discussions with stakeholders, they have decided to endorse all candidates for chairmanship and councilorship from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the October 9 elections.
As emerging leaders from the Middle-Belt region, they emphasized the vital role that local government elections play in shaping the future of their communities.
He explained that their endorsement reflects the unwavering commitment of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to grassroots development in Plateau State.
“His administration’s focus on empowering local communities and fostering inclusive growth resonates strongly with our values,” he said.
The Forum noted that in just over a year in office, Governor Mutfwang has initiated significant grassroots development efforts, demonstrating a genuine commitment to local needs and empowerment, which aligns with the forum’s goals for community-driven progress.
They highlighted his economic strategies, which prioritize job creation, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth—elements considered essential for the prosperity of the region.
The Forum also recognized notable achievements under Governor Mutfwang, including improvements in rural infrastructure, education, healthcare services, empowerment programs for youth and women, agricultural promotion, and prioritizing security and citizen welfare.
They called upon all Middle-Belt citizens to support all 17 PDP chairmanship and 325 councillorship candidates, advocating for a decisive victory for the party.
“Join us in uniting to build a brighter future for our communities and to ensure a prosperous Plateau State and Middle-Belt region,” they urged.
