Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has flagged off political campaigns for local government councils in Plateau North Senatorial District.
Mutfwang while flagging off campaigns for six Local Government areas Thursday, also received defectors into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the October 9 council polls.
He said most of the political parties in state came by accident as PDP started from Plateau and well rooted.
He assured the PDP supporters that they are going to work together for the victory of the party in the elections.
He also appealed to candidates who lost out during the primaries not to take their grievances too far.
He further appealed to candidates who lost in the contest of party election to also work together.
He stressed that party members should not get angry forever saying the challenge was in the course of selection of councilors and party officials from a large crowd, a confirmation that PDP belongs to the people.
He said that their candidates were chosen base on selection and that was why there was no rancour.
The Governor called on all PDP supporters to come out en mass to support to vote for the party.
