Tinubu Sets to Reshuffle Cabinet Amid Calls for Improved Performance
President Bola Tinubu is poised to reshuffle his cabinet, with changes potentially happening before October 1, according to his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.
This move, the media aide explained aims to revitalise his administration, which has faced criticism for not doing enough.
DAYLIGHT REPORTERS reports that the president has already given the green light for the reshuffle, but no timeline has been specified.
In addition to the cabinet reshuffle, Tinubu has directed his ministers to be more proactive in sharing their accomplishments with the public.
He said at the last Federal Executive Council meeting, the president urged his ministers to overcome their media shyness and showcase their achievements.
“Some ministers have been criticised for being too quiet, and Tinubu wants them to take charge of telling their own stories.”, he said.
