The Senator representing Taraba South, Jim Kuta on Saturday described the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister Nyesom Wike, as the greatest asset to the All Progressive Congress (APC.
Kuta said Wike is playing a significant role in the fulfillment of the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Tinubu administration.
He disclosed this during a chat with Journalists in Jalingo the Taraba State capital.
He said: “Even though Wike is not in APC but since he was appointed as the minister of the FCT he has been performing excellently in transforming the capital city, we consider him as the greatest asset for the APC, and a key player in fulfilling the renewed heart agenda.
“When were you last in Abuja?” he asked. I am sure you have been hearing news of the wonderful things he is doing in transforming the capital city.
“Since Wike assumed as the FCT minister, he has made tremendous progress for the FCT.”
Mr Kuta, who is also the Senate committee chairman of FCT, says the face-off between the Wike and the Senator representing the FCT, Ireta Kingibe, representing the FCT will soon be resolve
“The situation will soon be resolved to avoid political tension, and unnecessary false perceptions
Kuta said the dispute is not on official matters but on some misunderstanding of bureaucratic responsibilities which will soon be resolved.
He expressed appreciation to respectable Nigerians for their intervention in seeing that the dispute is being resolved.
“What is happening is not what people are thinking but just some common misunderstanding, I am assuring you the the matter will soon be resolved.” Mr Kuta said.
Speaking on security matters in the country, he said, “the Senate is so much concerned about the security situation in the Country, that is why everyday during our sittings a point of order is being raised concerning the security situation in the country.”
