In line with its core mandate in rebuilding North East region affected by insurgency and other disasters, the MD/CEO of NEDC: NE Development Commission Mohd G. Alkali along side the Executive Director Administration and Finance Dr Abubakar Garba Iliya has today paid a courtesy visit on His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State Hon. Mai Mala Buni CON.
The NEDC MD said they were on courtesy visit to the Yobe State Governor to foster cordial working relationship. While assuring the Yobe Government of NEDC’s continued support, the MD said Yobe State under Gov. Buni has always provided the Commission with conducive working environment for successful implementation of its projects and programs in the State.
On his part, Governor Buni commended NEDC for its various capital-intensive projects in Yobe state and the region and urged the MD/CEO MG Alkali and his management team to continue their good work of rebuilding, rehabilitation and resettlement of people and communities ravaged by the decade long Boko Haram insurgency.
With an enduring cordial working relationship, we are confident that more legacy projects and programmes would continue to be implemented in Yobe State that would benefit the people and their communities in the days, weeks, months and years to come. The NEDC will continue to work for the development, peace and prosperity of the North East region.
