Former deputy governor of Taraba state, Sani Abubakar, popularly known as C2C has urged citizens of Taraba state to support President Bola Tinubu in his efforts to find a lasting solution to the problems of Nigeria.
He made the appeal during an interactive session with youths and different political groups in Jalingo the state capital on Sunday.
Mr Abubakar explained that the interaction was to enlighten them on the ills of protest and why they should not be part of it.
“There is no need for this protest. President Tinubu is just a year and some few months in office and not enough to assess its performance.
“Let’s give him time to solve the problems we are facing can’t judge leadership within one year.
According to him, the nation is in a transformative period, adding that the president needs the support of Nigerians to succeed in his quest to solve the country’s problems.
The former deputy governor who was also a Senator representing Taraba North, noted that the President is aware of the plight of the citizens and is working towards resolving them.
“President Tinubu is acutely aware of the current plight of Nigerians, and he is working tirelessly and meticulously to resolve them.
“I understand the frustrations stemming from the current economic challenges.
“However, I want to assure you that the administration of president Tinubu has been working tirelessly to implement measures that will alleviate these hardships and create opportunities for all residents.
“I urged citizens to channel their energies into productive endeavors and to take advantage of the opportunities being created.
“Let us work together to build the Taraba State we all desire. The government is listening and acting.
“I call upon each one of our vibrant youth, our hardworking market women, our dedicated union members, and every resident of Taraba state to join hands with us in lifting our state forward and country forward.
“Your energy, your ideas, and your commitment are invaluable assets in our journey towards prosperity. Instead of protesting, I urge you to engage with these initiatives the president has put in place.” Mr Abubakar said.
