Water Shortage: Sen. Dankwambo Provides Borehole In Dukku
Concerned by acute water scarcity in Dukku local government area of Gombe State, the senator representing Gombe north Ibrahim Dankwambo has brought succour to the community by sinking some boreholes to ease their sufferings.
Our correspondent reports that the community for long had been bedevilled with the problem of water shortage due to lack of water supply from Gombe State Water Board, lack of wells due to the sandy nature of the area and shortage of water vendors.
DAYLIGHT REPORTERS reports that the senator has installed a borehole in Dukku, one of the five local government areas of the constituency to alleviate the persistent water shortage in specific areas within the local government.
Residents of the area have welcomed the gesture said the initiative serves as a measure aimed at mitigating the water scarcity issue.
