Gov Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Friday condoled with Gov Babagana Zulum over the demise of his media aid, Mr Isa Gusau.
Mr Emmanuel Bello, the Special Adviser to governor on Media and Digital Communication, who paid a condolence visit to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ ) Correspondents’ Chapel office in Jalingo on behalf of the governor, described Gusau as a professional, who will forever be missed in the media practice.
“Gusau, a consumate news man will be sorely missed by his colleagues and the people of Borno state where he worked as spokesman in various governments.
“I pray for the repose of his soul and condole with family and associates of the late reporter.
“Mr Gusau died at the time when the nation and Borno state needed his services the most.
“He was a shinning example of professionalism in the media world, whose record of service are worthy of emulation.
“His years as a reporter with Daily Trust Newspaper and subsequent assignments in public offices further established his brand for efficiency and passion for work for the good of humanity,” he said.
The governor prayed God to forgive his shortcomings while on Earth, and give the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Mr Gabriel Yough, the Taraba Chairman NUJ Correspondents’ Chapel, while condoling with the Borno state government, Gusua’s family and the entire media family, described governor Kefas visit as a relief, going by the shock the report of Gusau’s death came with.
Yough also prayed God to give Gusua’s family, Borno state government and the entire media family the fortitude to bear the loss.
