The Senate has commenced proceedings for the confirmation of Chairman the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede.
Olukoyede is currently at the National Assembly with some of the management staff of the Commission.
Reports say that President Bola Tinubu, last week , approved Olukoyede’s appointment as the Executive Chairman of the EFCC.
The appointment is for a renewable term of four years in the first instance, subject to confirmation by the Senate.
Olukoyede’s appointment comes nearly four months after Tinubu suspended the erstwhile head of the anti-graft agency, Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa.
