As Nigeria marks 63 years of independence, member Kaduna State House of Assembly Hon. Henry Marah has assured of safer and more secure environment where commercial and robust agric activities would thrive for growth and development.
He gave the assurance in a press statement commemorating the 63rd Independence Anniversary of Nigeria.
Hon. Marah expressed concern over economic hardship faced by citizens, adding that legislative arm of government in the state was doing everything possible in its oversight function and in collaboration with the present administration to bring succour to the masses.
“We are not unaware of your pains and the hardship experienced, particularly in this regime of subsidy removal which has affected virtually every consumer good and services, making life difficult for the common man.
“Governance is all about service to the people and to ensure their welfare and that of their families are well taken care of by the government.
“We at Kaduna State House of Assembly are working round the clock with the aim of fulfilling our mandate to the people and above all legislate and ensure bills with direct impacts on lives of the masses are given priority so that our people, particularly those at the grassroots will have a cause to smile and pray for peaceful and prosperous state and nation.
“It is high time the negatives were reversed and positive changes brought on to governance for the benefit of our people who are often the victims of deficit in administration.
“I want to assure you the current legislators will leave no stone unturned in our quest to ensure dividends of democracy reach the people at the grassroots, ” he emphasized
