As part of his continous commitment to the upliftment of education, the senator representing Gombe Central senatorial zone, Muhammad Danjuma Goje, has flagged off the second phase of the distribution of customized books and other learning materials to primary and junior secondary schools in his constituency.
The benefitting schools cut across Akko and Yamaltu Deba local government areas that made up the constituency.
Flagging off the distribution of the materials, Senator Goje who was represented by his aide, Alhaji Abubakar Adamu said the intervention is aimed at strengthening basic education and renewing hope for children who he said are the leaders of tomorrow.
He said the textbooks distributed comprised of English language, mathematics, basic science, hygiene, information technology, civic education, and fun and easy, being the subjects taught at the basic level.
Sen. Goje said, “In addition, over 20,000 students’ exercise books and hard-cover books were distributed for teachers and junior secondary school students”.
He assured them of the continued support of his principal in their academic pursuit.
Representatives of the various Head Teachers of the beneciary schools thanked Senator Goje for his benevolence towards the pupils, thereby relieving parents from the burden now that the economy is not friendly.
