The Succour For Nations Development Initiative (SFN) says it is set to empower Nigerian youths for leadership in its Thrive 4.0 Conference.
The convener of the group, Solape Adesuyi, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Lagos.
Adesuyi said that SFN had put the conference together in commemoration of the International Youth Day 2023.
She said that the aim of the conference was in line with the International Youth Day celebration as SFN was committed to building the capacity of young leaders.
The World Youth Day celebration comes up every two to three years, especially in the summer months.
The most recent World Youth Day was hosted in Lisbon, Portugal from August 1 to August 6.
According to Adesuyi, “SFN, a leading youth-focused organisation dedicated to building the mindset, capacity, and future of young people, is thrilled to announce its transformative youth programme, Thrive Conference.
“The conference is geared towards empowering the next generation of leaders, and aims at equipping young minds with the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to create a positive impact on their communities and beyond.”
She said that the Thrive 4.0 Conference would start on August 12 and its activities include skills acquisition, panel discussions, goals and development mentorship, games and music.
According to her, the conference is a comprehensive, multi-faceted programme that offers a range of enriching experience for the youths, with the theme: “Rising Above the Tides.”
Mrs Adesuyi, who is also the convener said, “Participants will have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities such as panel discussions, games, comedy, music, fun, job opportunities, skills acquisition, and projects that foster personal growth, leadership development, and social responsibility.
“Some of the key highlights of Thrive Conference 4.0 will include discussions on Thriving in a Hostile Environment (Building Adversity Quotient).
“And also panel discussions on rising above the tides through education, capacity building, personal development and through entrepreneurship.
