Dr. Akinwumi Adesina has been reelected as the President of the African Development bank.
Adesina, a former Nigerian Minister of Agriculture, was re-elected by the Board of Governors of the Bank at the ongoing AfDB’s virtual annual meeting in Abidjan on Thursday.
Adesina, the first Nigerian to hold the position, was the only candidate in the election. He was first elected in May 2015.
