Suspected Yankalare thugs have killed a renowned Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ibrahim H. Musa (Albanin Kuri) in Gombe.
Confirming the incident to Daylight Reporters, a friend to the deceased and national director of social media of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid”ah Wa’ Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Ibrahim Baba Sulaiman said the victim was killed by the suspected Yan Kalare thugs who burgled his house yesterday night.
He said, “I was with late Albani yesterday and we had a lenghty discussion since around 2:00pm till few minutes to 4:00pm where he told me that he wants to pray evening prayers (Asar) at a particular mosque and he left.
‘He was killed yesterday night at his Nasarawo residence after he struggled with the marauding Yan Kalare political thugs who maimed and killed at will, robbing unsuspected victims of their mobile phones and other belongings”.
Sulaiman further confirmed that the deceased died afrer he sutained multiple stabs from his killers.
When contacted by Daylight Reporters, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO Maheed Muazu said he’ll respond appropriately on the incident when he’s fully briefed.
