Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has attended a civic reception in honour of the member representing Toungo/Ganye/Jada/Mayo Belwa federal constituency of the state, Mohammed Inuwa Bassi.
According to a statement signed by Muhammad B. Tukur, the reception was organised by the people of the constituency to celebrate their son for his Inauguration as the national lawmaker in the Green Chamber.
Speaking at the event, Governor Umaru Fintiri called on the people of the constituency to support the federal lawmaker to enable him to deliver quality representation.
He noted that, Bassi would no doubt perform well because he had performed and helped the people of his constituency during his tenure in the state House of Assembly.
While speaking on the issue of insecurity,the Governor warned miscreants against their activities and vowed to deal with criminals and ensure the people in Adamawa slept with their two eyes closed.
Governor Fintiri also promised to lift 2000 women out of Poverty every month and ensure girl children especially school dropouts are back to school in the state.
In his remark, the Vice-Chancellorlor, Modibbo Adama University Yola (MAU) Prof. Abdullahi Liman Tukur, called on the constituents to support Bassi with a common agenda.
In a vote of thanks, the celebrant, the federal lawmaker thanked the people of his constituency and promised to give them effective representation in the Green Chamber.
The event was attended by Secretary to the state government Auwal Tukur, Chief of Staff Government House Yola Dr Edgar Amos, Chancellor Army University Biu Prof Mohammed Kyari and Professor Danjuma Gambo of the University of Maiduguri as well as the Gangwari Ganye, Alh Umaru Adamu Sanda.
